We only tattoo and do not do piercings at Nightshade.

You MUST be at least 18 years old to be tattooed in the state of Washington. We do not tattoo minors even with parental permission/supervision. Please bring a valid I.D. to your tattoo appointment.

Our response time varies but you will typically hear back from the artist of your choice within a couple days. Please note that if you do not subscribe to our newsletter our reply will end up in your junk/spam folder so be sure to check those.

If you and another member would like to schedule a tattoo appointment together please note that you will likely have the same artist so you will not be getting tattooed at the exact same time. Both potential clients will need to fill out an inquiry form and both put down a deposit. While your appointments may be back to back, no one is permitted in the tattooing area besides the client getting tattooed and the tattoo artist. To minimize distractions and over crowding we ask that friends, family, and partners to not attend your appointment.

Each artist’s rate is different depending on experience. We may be able to give rough estimates but please note these are just estimates and your tattoo may cost more or less than what was advised. We will do our best to work with your budget. Your appointment may be broken up into multiple sessions if requested.

Cash is preferred! ATM’s at BECU and Bank of America are within a one to two block distance from our shop. We can also take Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle. Please note that we do not take credit card or check.

Custom designs are not shown in advance. This approach protects our work. Unfortunately, designs shared in advance can be copied, altered, or take to another artist without our knowledge. Secondly, because we work with multiple clients at a time, tattoo designs are typically created closer to each client’s appointment rather than far in advance. This allows us to design with fresh focus and ensure the piece fits the body, placement, and scale properly as a finished tattoo. Designs shared ahead of time often receive outside feedback from friends or family, which-while well-intentioned-can lead to changes that don’t translate well to the skin. Our design choices are made intentionally based on anatomy, readability, and longevity. You’re always welcome to send reference images and ideas in advance, and we allow time at your appointment to review the design to make adjustments so you feel confident before we begin.

To respect the privacy and comfort of everyone in the studio, photos and video recording are not permitted during appointments.

This also includes smart glasses and wearable recording devices, such as Meta Ray-Ban glasses. If we notice that you are wearing recording-enabled glasses or another recording device, we will ask you to remove them or put them away before your appointment continues.
