(Please read all of the information below before submitting a tattoo request. Priority goes to large scale pieces, ‘wanna do’ and flash designs. After submitting a request be sure to check your junk/spam folder for our reply)
TERMS & CONDITIONS
WALK-INS: Tattoos are by appointment unless we have extra time. To inquire about a tattoo you must read the information and submit the form below. There is no waitlist. If by chance there is a day the artist would like to fill quickly he will post about it on instagram @nightshadetattoo, these slots will likely be flash only.
ARTIST: Please examine Joe’s work on Instagram at @nightshadetattoo or below to make sure the tattoo you are inquiring about meets the art and style he specializes in.
STYLE & INK: Joe is a black and grey only tattoo artist specializing in his preferred style of vintage traditional designs. Vintage americana, traditional designs, classical themes, and original ideas are always welcome. But, the fastest way to get an appointment with him is by choosing from vintage flash or his original “wanna do” designs that can be found on Instagram. Please view his portfolio below for examples of his finished work. He DOES NOT tattoo very specific ideas with no artistic flexibility, copied ideas from the internet, requests for color, small walk-in style tattoos, line work without shading, script, mandalas, trash polka, images you drew yourself, or cartoons/anime.
COVER UPS: We do not do cover ups or re-work other artists tattoos.
DEPOSIT: A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to make an appointment, which comes off the final price of the tattoo during your LAST session. Deposits are final, non-refundable, non-transferable. Your appointment is not valid until a deposit is put down. In the case of no-shows or cancellations, deposits will be forfeited and an additional deposit will be required to secure a future appointment. Additionally, if the artist has already drawn for your appointment your deposit is non-refundable.
PRICING: Joe’s minimum is $250 per tattoo and his rate is $250 an hour. His rate is reflected by his 12+ years experience and speed tattooing.
CUSTOM DESIGNS: Joe will have your drawing ready for the day of your appointment, but designs are not shown in advance. If any small changes need to be made to the design, that can be done on the day of your appointment. If you decide to dramatically alter your design idea your appointment may need to be rescheduled for a later date. If for any reason the design alteration request is not in the direction of art the artist specializes in your appointment may be canceled. By any chance you change your mind on the idea you originally inquired, we have the right to deny your request.
FLASH DESIGNS: You can always book an appointment and choose flash the day of! We have hundreds of designs ready to go and antique flash books that can be looked through. Some one off designs and repeatable flash are often posted on Instagram of @nightshadetattoo and can be found in the highlight section when available.
INQUIRIES: Every tattoo submission is an inquiry. You are not guaranteed an appointment or response by filling out the submission form if your request does not meet the direction of art the artist specializes in. If your inquiry is accepted please allow for at least 48 hours before seeing a reply. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter or our reply will end up in your junk/spam folder.
GROUP TATTOOS/ACCOMPANIES: If you and another member would like to schedule a tattoo appointment together please note that you will both need to fill out an inquiry form and both put down a deposit. While your appointments may be back to back, no one is permitted in the tattooing area besides the client getting tattooed and the tattoo artist. Please do not bring extra guests for our space is small and it can cause over crowding and extra distractions for our artists. If you show up to your appointment with a guest who does not have a tattoo appointment, they will be asked to kindly leave.
APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATIONS: If accepted, you will receive a response via email. If you do not subscribe to our newsletter that response may end up in your junk/spam folders, so please check those! That email will give you instructions on how to put a deposit down and schedule your appointment. You will then receive text messages as reminders of when your appointment is near. Please remember to confirm your appointment so we don’t have to additionally reach out to you.
PAYMENT: The remaining balance is due upon completion of your tattoo via Venmo or cash.
RESCHEDULING: If for any reason you need to reschedule, we require 48 hours notice prior to the time of your appointment. Any change to your appointment time after this will forfeit your original deposit and an additional deposit will be required to reserve a new appointment. Also if rescheduling happens more than twice you will forfeit your original deposit and an additional deposit will be required to reserve a new appointment.
CANCELLATIONS: If you are 15 minutes late to your appointment you will be considered a no-show and will need to schedule a new appointment for a future date. If you are a no-show or cancel your appointment FOR ANY REASON, you will forfeit your original deposit and an additional deposit will be required to reserve a new appointment.
ART: All designs produced by Nightshade remain their intellectual property and may be re-used for any purpose at their discretion.
CONSULTATIONS: Not every tattoo will need a consultation. If more information from the tattoo artist is needed one may be requested.
PHOTOS & VIDEOS: You will likely be asked to have your photo taken. By agreeing you grant the unrestricted right to the images taken for promotional or editorial purposes. Any restrictions or questions must be stated clearly and immediately.
